Rita and the Tiaras - Gone With The Wind Is My Love (1967)
I discovered this Northern Soul track on this day, listening to Cerys Matthews on 6 Music. Rita Graham made her debut on this single, and a few months later was one of Ray Charles' Raelettes. The backing track had been made by producer and songwriter Lou Barreto for Gloria Jones, but due to a management disagreement her vocal had been wiped and replaced with this one. It went on to become a dance floor classic on the Dore label.
