Red squirrel

Had a lovely walk through Anagach Woods and the squirrels were very active. Seems our blonde tailed Strathspey variety is the original indiginous population and the dark tailed variety were reintroduced from Scandinavia to Scotland in the 19th Century when our own were becoming scarce. Juliet Robinson, who was working for Red Alert informed us of this fact recently.
