The old hedge

It doesn't look much like a hedge now. From a distance it is clear that this is an old field boundary, long since abandoned.

I am still enjoying the fisheye lens. At first it seemed almost magical. Find a large object; walk up to it until my nose touches; and take 2, 4 or 8 steps backwards according to the following scale - object larger than me: 2 steps; tree: 4 steps; concert hall: 8 steps. Press shutter. (Don't bother about focus or framing, as everything will be sharp and in the picture.)

Today the sun came out and I started to discover the challenges. For almost half of all possible directions, the sun is in the picture and everything else is dark. For the other half, my shadow is in the picture. OK, turn at right angles to the sun: now there is a two stops difference in exposure between the left and right halves of the scene! I can correct the exposure in Lightroom, but does anyone know of a good "remove my shadow" process?
