A LOVELY YOUNG PUPPY

staying so close to his father, who told us he had forgotten to bring the ball, so he threw something he found on the beach in the sea, but the task was too hard for the sweet little dog.
At an early hour Piet Hein and I had cycled to the beach, had went a bit further than we most of the time do and walked over the sand in the direction of the Monster beach. We liked to be early because of the forecast of lovely spring weather and wanted to enjoy the sea before the crowds came.
After we had cycled home again and had drunk our coffee at the balcony and had lunch, Mischa phoned if she could come over, have lunch too and discuss some issues with us. We laughed a lot too!!
Then Mischa and I together walked through Meer en Bos park, fed the ducks and continued our walk towards the beach. At some point we lost our way in the dunes and twice we had to step over and dive under the wires, some with electicity.
Where we reached the beach it was quiet, southwards in Kijkduin lots of persons could be discerned on the sand and northwards at Scheveningen we suspected to be the same.
We returned home, Mischa made (spelt) pancakes for her friend Vladimaap, who was staying over for some nights. And we all ate healtely.

My haiku:

Some simple pleasures
In the day made us realize
Life is good sometimes

And the proverb:

Een volle maag studeert niet graag.

Translation: A full belly does not study with pleasure.
