Running Water

For today's adventure, we went to Stanley Ghyll and the waterfall there. According to the guide book, it is a hidden waterfall, that is out of the way and unspoilt.

Well, for a hidden waterfall, there was certainly a lot of visitors!

We parked at the Dalegarth railway station, and walked to the falls. It is quite a steep climb, my GPS tracker (that I use for micro managing my fitness) tells me that we climbed 505 feet, over 1.30 miles - mind, it also tells me we dropped 495 feet on the return journey, so I am not certain of its reliability!

I was wonderfully relaxed...then the boy came home and WW3 broke out (again). I am hiding in my office, playing with photographs working hard on my thesis.
