Pre-planning

Torture is what this is. Systems analysis, all labs with their normal ranges and pt ranges plus the date. Then meds with the brand and trade name, pt dosage, safe dosage range, mechanism of action, adverse effects and nursing interventions. Then 3 nursing diagnoses with at least 10 interventions from 3 sources and lastly 3 medical diagnoses with the etiology, pathophysiology, signs and symptoms, diagnostic tests, treatment and complications. AND all of that has to be completed by clinical the next morning at 6:45 am. I don't even get to start preplanning until 6pm.....if I'm lucky I'll get 2 hours of sleep tonight
