Hanchurch Sunset
Fairly busy morning - helped my better half with moving most of a tonne of gravel through to her back garden. I was surprised it only took just a little less than an hour and to be honest it was far far easier than it sounds. So much so that we got some other bits and bobs done too.
And I was treated to a very nice meal cooked by her Mum, so well worth the effort.
We went for a little stroll in the afternoon and decided to stay fairly local, as we were both feeling rather knackered, so went off to the woods that we usually ride around.
We were spoilt with excellent weather and both came back with lots and lots of great photo's. I was going to Blip a different shot - the view from one track has a wonderful layering effect in the distance, created by rows of trees at the perfect angle to create a great landscape. But as we were nearly back to the car the sun was starting to set and the whole scene turned a lovely orange hue, so it had to be this shot.
Processing wise, I brought down the highlights slightly in Lightroom to bring back detail in the sun and lightest parts of the sky. Then went into Photoshop CS6 to remove a couple of lens flare spots and add a levels adjustment to add a real punch to the final image.
