Alfriston Church

Lovely day today. Met KarenC (another blipper) and her husband for coffee in Kemp Town. Great chats about cameras, photography and everything and anything else.

In the afternoon three of our friends piled into our car for afternoon tea in Alfriston. This quintessentially English Village situated on the banks of the river Cuckmere attracts many visitors. It has numerous buildings of historical interest, including the church, parts of which date back to the 13th Century.

We had a cream tea in a tea room overlooking a beautiful garden (except for Trevor who is on a no carb diet). Four of us felt comfortingly full at the end of the day while one tried not to be smug.
