Grebe

What a glorious day! Spring, not winter. Basil and I took our constitutional at Nanpantan Reservoir - where else? I took the Sigma 150-500 mm lens. I've deleted most of the photos as they were too soft. The Canon 100-400mm lens is far more reliable. So this is why you get yet another shot of a great crested grebe. Three of them on the water, and the presence of the third has upset the mating pair. Saw the third grebe being chased by another yesterday. It was even flying partially over the surface. I guess the pair are trying to force the third one out. In any event, courting behaviour and nesting has ceased for the time being.
