Road Trip day 21

Driving from Carlsbad, NM to home sweet home.
We visited Carlsbad Caverns National Park, because that was on oldest's wishlist for this trip. Not that we didn't enjoy it.
Taking pictures in the dark is not my forte, so for this occasion I borrowed a picture that my husband took from me while we were on the Left Hand Tunnel Tour. The left hand tunnel is beautiful in its own way. You won't find the beautiful stalagmites and dripping formations like you'll encounter in the Big Room. It's a tour in candle light and other than that absolute darkness. It's also very quiet, so very peaceful. You will forget about time, because there's no daylight. It would be a perfect place to bring your yoga mat.
This is not the last day of our trip, but after lunch we got in the car and drove all the way back to Texas. We had a good night's rest and continued our journey home. No pictures of significant beauty were taken. So I'd like to see this entry as the end of our great trip through the national parks. We learned so much about nature. Together, husband and I took about 8000 pictures on this trip. That's about 380 a day!
