Welcome arrival

Schorschi complained on Wednesday that the kite family had not turned up this year and the harriers were having a great time killing our chickens on a daily basis.

Well today the kites arrived, all four and it looks as though they may be considering nesting directly on our property. The last few years they have been close by in the forest. In 2011 before the tree was cut down, they nested close enough for us to photograph the nest from the bedroom window.

Would be great if they stay.
