Kew panorama

We sneaked in a visit to Kew on the last day of the Orchid Festival, taking the Lappers, who are visiting.

The orchids were fantastic, as always. We often go to see the orchids before we go to Finland, so it was a treat to go in March and see so many spring bulbs in full flower. I think the bulbs were the highlight for me.

If you can get to Kew now, there are thousands of cillas in full bloom (they don't show on the pano on my phone, maybe they do on a bigger screen). They form a beautiful blue carpet. The daffodil avenue from the lake down to the Orangery is just about at its best as well. Glorious.
