Kopi Luwak

Coffee - or kopi in Bahasa - is pretty big in Indonesia. Just about every island grows it, and each has its own flavors and complexities. I've only tried a couple so far!

One very special type is Kopi Luwak. This little creature is a luwak - a type of civet cat that eats the coffee berries, poops them out, and well, you can imagine what comes next. After roasting and removing the shells, the result is a smooth, somewhat watery coffee. It's rumored to be among the most expensive coffee in the world.
