Red Rump, White Face

Southern Whiteface, Aphelocephala leucopsis

A lifer for me! We spent quite a bit of time trying to find these guys at various locations en route to our camping spot, Eagle Rock, for the night (incidentally, we also managed to see a wedge-tailed eagle at eagle rock!).

Come morning and we were all out and about in search of birds... only to find out that our campsite is absolutely littered with Southern Whitefaces! Once I saw one I couldn't stop seeing them! The irony that is birding...
