Union Canal overflow
In contrast to yesterday's drizzle, it was a bright and mild early spring day in Edinburgh. I went for a wander to the canal, and then instead of heading into town, I walked the opposite direction to Slateford. I had hoped to see lots of birds, but I think they are already nesting and out of sight. I walked back towards Murrayfield along the Water of Leith Walkway, and the blip is taken where the overflow from the Slateford Aquaduct comes out of the Union Canal. I liked the way the sunlight caught the water against some darker clouds.
