Mephitic

Most of the time in winter I am spared this mephitic presence, as the sea is too rough for the fisherman to go out. Today however was a sea day. Fortunately when we had a house valuer and an electrician round this afternoon, the fisherman saw sense and left them on the van, but now they have pride of place above the boiler to dry out. Fishing clothes have a very sickly fishy smell, and it is very pervasive and mephitic.
