Ladybird, ladybird... Coccinellidae

Coccinellidae, coccinellidae… the official name for the lovely ladybird, doesn’t have quite the same ring to it, but there she was, climbing on the evergreen. I picked up my camera and clicked, but this was the only shot I got with her showing her face. As soon as she heard the click she withdrew under her pretty red spotted wing covers and refused to come out. She was last seen sunbathing on said evergreen, still tucked up under her lovely red spotted wing covers.
