The case of the missing Virgin - and a found mouse

I was awake half the night, wondering what on earth had become of a beautiful oil painting I bought a few years ago. I haven't seen it since I moved. It's still rolled up in a cardboard tube. Just the incentive I needed to crack on with some tidying.

Here's my beautiful painting - the Virgin of somewhere or other from Peru ..

Sadly I still haven't found it - but I have found evidence of a mouse living in the front room. That's what happens when you shut the door on a room for two years!

I've bought humane mousetrap and am giving it a week to get caught .. then I shall have to rethink ..

A brief break in the afternoon - I was inclined to blip this sunny crested grebe .. but the grebe in shade went down so well on Facebook, I'm blipping that.
