A little ray of sunshine

A Grand Day Out

We'd invited my brother-in-law over for lunch today, but having looked at the forecast it wasn't a day for sitting in a having a relaxing lunch. Instead I put the slower cooker on, we had an early lunch and then headed out to the moors. A tram ride up to the top of the glen and then a climb up to the trig point, a first for our children and it's good to know they can get up there without out any complaints.

Yorkshire Dales Icecream stop on the way back down, sat in the sunshine at the top of the glen, a trip back down on the tram. The Shipley Glen Cable Tramway is the oldest working cable tramway in Great Britain (cliff lifts excepted). It dates from 1895, and was built to serve the local beauty spot of Shipley Glen.

A final climb up the hill back home in time for tea.
