Sochi 2014 - Curling Bronze

Tonight was pretty cool - pardon the pun - as I got to hold in my hand an actual Winter Olympic medal.

Our weekly Friday Night Dinner was crashed by Anna Sloan and Vicki Adams, two of the curlers from the Bronze medal winning GB team. It was brilliant to hear their stories from the Games and how amazed they were at the curling craze they have managed to create in the UK through their success. I also found it very comforting to find that despite their Olympic fame they remain totally grounded and were an extremely pleasant pair to meet.

I should also say that the chicken tagine and pudding of goat's cheese pancakes were delicious. Unfortunately for Sarah she cooked the dinner the same night an Olympic medal was present. Trumped!
