A notter

This has completely made my day. I had intended to blip a photo of an Edinburgh tram with the title "a tramatic experience" until, walking home after paying a visit to a bike shop in Stockbridge I heard a splash in the Water of Leith to my left.

I caught sight of something - which I thought was a leaping fish - until there it was again - an otter! And not just one, a pair! I've only ever seen one otter in the wild, on Mull - at a great distance. These two were barely 15 yards from me in the water. Sadly the combination of phone camera and low light hasn't made for a great picture but it made my day!
