Just call him Red!

There wasn't much color to be seen in the park today, but this northern cardinal made up for what was lacking. He was perched in a tree high above my head, and his brilliant color drew my attention. More pictures from today are posted on my Flickr site, starting here.

Weather update: Weatherwise this day was an absolute delight. The high temperature was in the mid-fifties and the sun shone brightly. It was far from hot, but it felt great anyway, and I actually saw a couple of young girls in shorts! Some people do get carried away at the first hint of spring. However, the weather people are threatening much colder temps for the end of this week with snow, maybe lots of it. Who would believe it?
