Bizzy Lizzy

My Bizzy Lizzy is very aptly named. Come summer or winter this plant blooms consistently in my sitting room, brightening up these dreary wet days with its cheerful pink flowers.

I cut this plant back drastically every year and every year it returns to its abundant self.

I attribute its energy to that of the man who gave me this plant as a tiny seedling 10 years ago. FJ tirelessly and enthusiastically campaigned for human rights during his short life. He passed away in his early fifties about 3 years ago.

The plant is a constant reminder to me of FJ's generous and giving spirit. He lives on in so many ways on this earth. My thoughts tonight are with his wife A and two daughters.
