The Ol' Water Hole

Taken at the turning point of our usual morning walk. This is the exact sight I see every morning after the dogs have run on ahead of me when they realise they are almost at the burn.
Kilbo always standing ready to go into the water because he loves to swim in the burn. Waiting for me to give him the nod that it's OK to go in or for me to throw some stones in so he can chase the splashes (yes, I know the beach is mere yards away - he'll have already been in the sea...) Mayar always stands slightly back from him urging him not to go in and barking at him to get back out the water when he does. We're not sure why she dislikes the burn so much - she loves swimming in the sea and is a much better swimmer than Kilbo overall but the only place she likes to swim is the sea. Even just now when the burn water is almost paddleable she will still do everything she can to get him out so normally after a couple of minutes we have to turn back and finish our walk along the dunes.
