First Real Sepia.
Today I printed up a couple of the images from the first roll of 120 film shot in my holga. Was really cool I especially like the boarder here. It was done by using a negative holder that has been Filed larger so you get that rough edge.
Here is the unabridged version of the photo so you can see the frame better.
It's also a straight scan of the image and nothing else has been done to it.
Well except for the sepia tone. I'm doing that to my final project so I figured I should try it out a bit at first and see how that worked.
It is frickin cool!! The process takes two steps.
---------------------------------------------------------
Part one is a bleach:
Take a waterlogged print. (you can even use ones that you have had for a little while.)
Soak it in the blech for a few minutes. The image will completely fade or at least turn brown.
Wash in water for a few minutes.
Then part two.
Put it into stinky sepia toner bath.
Leave for a few minutes according to color/tone you want to achieve.
Wash for 10-15 minutes.
Do not dry with machine. Air dry overnight.
---------------------------------------------------------
Like I said, one of the cooler thinks I have learned to do in photography. Watching the image vanish with one bath then return with another was really cool.
Here is another photo of some Ducks near school.
Thanks for checking out my blip!
