Today's the day ............................ to get your head down

The River Kent was crystal clear today - and in the bright sunshine, it was easy to see right to the bottom.

With no wind either, it was all very peaceful. Lots of the ducks and goosanders seemed to be half asleep with their heads resting on their backs as they floated lazily on the water.

At least Mr Mallard here was having a bit of exercise as he fed on the weed growing between the stones beneath the surface. Nothing too strenuous though - easy does it ..........................
