It's for days like this that the word dreich was invented. Misty, rainy, cold, miserable. But the view from the sixth floor of the Edinburgh North Holiday Inn was still superb!

It was the same all the way up the A9 with driving rain, and spray from the road. Glad to get off the road when we arrived back in Inverness.

A tip for the Holiday Inn - shop around for a good deal. We paid less than £60 for the night, when the rack rate was advertised at an incredible £340!
