Oh I do like to be beside the seaside

Been up to see mum and dad today. Had lunch at Lattimer's sea food cafe which was lovely and then a short wander along the sea front at Sunderland. I didn't want to get sand in my shoes ( I didn't have my bucket and spade with me, or my flip flops and a towel) so I stuck to taking photos from the promenade.

Love the textures of the sand and water and feather on this....also realised I am not very good at identifying gulls!

Had a great time starting to go through all the photos I had sent from America last week, one of dad's mum and dad and two sisters that he had never seen before, taken we think in 1947!

Miss H had a lovely time in Iceland but didn't see the Northern lights and dog sledding had to be cancelled because of the bad weather! Such a shame but she is keen to go back sometime. Started her new job today, all seems to have gone well, so we are hoping it is a start of something good.
