I know it's not of much interest to you, but . .
. . . . today in the rain, a couple of workmen were outside our garden, complete with metal detectors.
Eventually one came to the door and explained that they were searching for the stopcock for a neighbour's water supply, and had found one which supplies my standpipe for the garden tap.
So now I know where it is - and so do you - right in the middle of this picture, under the grass!
If I have a problem with my garden hose in the future, I'll just have to look back my blips to find out where I can turn off the water. Remove that wee square of grass, and hey presto, there's the metal cover, and three feet down will be the stopcock.
I'll only have to remember that i blipped it - and today's date!
