kayaking on the Braden River

It feels great to use my own power to get across the river in a hand built boat with a handmade paddle. And look at what was waiting for me when I got there! Two more beautiful hand built boats tied up to the dock. When I got to shore and climbed out of the canoe, I found Steven and the pups. I got a tour of Steve's shop and saw the progress on the mast and tabernacle . . . it's coming along great! We plan to use this sailboat he's modifying at the 30th Annual Cedar Key Small Boat Fest May 2nd -4th, 2014. It's a lot of fun.

On the way home, we towed both the canoe I paddled over and my canoe, recently refinished by Steve. It was quite a sight to see, our little boat towing 2 canoes! Like a mini kayak train : )
