Driving myself round the bend

A milestone for me today, I drove a car for the first time since the 4th January last year. I decided today I had enough movement in my leg to be able to safely drive - and I did.

Having to rely on others to get me around has been one of my biggest frustrations so I was delighted to be back in the drivers seat.

It was also good to help out with the kids again. Today's photo was taken waiting for my son to come out of school so I could give him his forgotten lunchbox. He left it at home this morning in the usual rush. I'm sure he wouldn't have starved at school, he probably did some deal with one of his mates I'm sure. He would however appreciate a snack before the after school activities start.
