Wednesday Kayaking

It was wonderful to go out paddling with the Wednesday Morning Kayakers today; my first time in a long time! I'm really loving being able to walk and kayak again - freedom! We paddled across Lyttelton Harbour to the beach near Ripapa Island from Cass Bay, which took about one hour; it's always weather and sea conditions dependant.

I was fascinated by the patterns in the sand. We had that huge storm last week and everything looked as though it's been swept clean. This camera is a little waterproof Pentax, which goes easily in my lifejacket pocket, and of course is waterproof, but it drives me nuts. You can never rely on getting reasonable images. This one isn't too bad though!
