MIGRANT WORKER CAUGHT FLEECING BEANS & PEAS
It's Sue, of course, a migrant in the sense that she NEVER ventures as far as the walled garden out-of-season.
Today was sunny enough for her to be planting out the beans and the peas. A bonus of two perennial rockets had self-seeded in the charcoal paths so they are now in with the broad beans. All our raised beds and paths have a generous sprinkling of self-seeded forget-me-nots and we just can't bear to compost them all, so the peas are under-planted with forget-me-nots just for the joy they will bring, over the next few weeks.
