Spain had a terrorist attack similar to September 11 ten years ago today. The attack killed 191 people and injured more than 2000. Spanish general elections were going to be held in three days, so the terrorists may have just wanted to scare people. Killing people to intimidate is such a cowardly act. The lost of innocent lives is just so tragic.

I also feel somewhat connected to this attack since I take the train at the El Pozo station every Monday afternoon. It's hard to believe such a tragedy occurred at that spot. Today a commemoration was held to honor those who were killed. All their names, ages, and nationalities were read. It just made the tragedy so much more real.
