'What to Look for in Spring'
I could be revealing something about my age here...
(But of course I'm not... I'm merely saying that my Mother told me a lot of detail about stuff which I took on, diligently, as if 'twere mine own..)
Apparently, there was a little classic Ladybird book called 'What to Look for in Spring' (by E. L. Grant; Illustrated By C. F. Tunnicliffe Watson).
It had catkins.
And lambs.
And pussy willow.
And all manner of other stuff, of which a Mixed Infant nature table was made.
Today felt like one of the pages from that book.
(Except for the lingering ethereal mist, which made today a day of its own).
I wandered... Not lonely.
Alone. In Hambledon. What a beautiful part of England.
C.F. Tunnicliffe Watson would have liked it too, I'm sure.
