Red and White lines.
Back in the 1980's, this area was excavated and recorded with ‘finds’ being displayed in the local museum in Alcester. When this area was developed these red lines were painted on the tarmac to identify where the Roman walls, some 3.5 to 4 meters thick and a granary once stood in the 3rd and 4th centuries AD.
