May buds

On my way back to campus this morning, across the park, I noticed lots of little birds flitting about and singing at each other and lots of buds sprouting on the bushes. Hurray, spring is certainly here (here being north Bucks - it'll be a wee while yet before it reaches Leith).

After a morning meeting where it was generally agreed that due to everyone having far too much extra work to do, existing deadlines could not be met; so some things would have to be abandoned or at least postponed. :-( (It's grim down south). At lunchtime I got the train home and five hours or so later arrived in time for a delicious meal cooked by Mr H. A pint may be required later on.
