Loch Turret Reservoir

We took the opportunity of another lovely sunny day to go for a drive through Perthshire. First stop was Crieff for lunch and then a detour up the very rough single track road to Glen Turret Reservoir. There was a bit of a stand-off near the top of the hill with the resident herd of Highland Cattle, who had to be gently persuaded to vacate their warm patch on the road to let us pass:-) There was less snow on the hills than I'd hoped, but the views were still lovely and the water really calm.

Then it was on through the Sma' Glen to Amulree and Aberfeldy and back home via Dunkeld, with lots of stops for photos en route.

Beats working in the garden any time:-)
