Her friends told her she had low self-esteem. And it's true, she does. I think at nine, most girls do. I tell her she's funny and smart and creative and talented and beautiful. It's something she'll have to realize on her own. The self-esteem issue has been a life long struggle for me. I can only hope that it won't be for her.
