WALL SANDWICH
Caught between the hedge above and its fallen leaves below, this stone wall is one of my favourites. I love walking between these walls, along passages, through mazes - especially mazes, where the journey, not the arrival matters. I always attributed that title to Leonard Woolf's autobiography, but I see TS Eliot used it too. My best journey quote is this one - especially now that we're planning a trip to somewhere...
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." -- Mark Twain
