Cookie!

Preparations have begun for our ski trip to Meribel, France. We disembark on Thursday evening. This years treat of choice... COOKIE!

Jenny's been on a cookie-drive the last few weeks, rustling up some delicious flavours, one of which are these oat & raisin disc-shaped lovelies. These should be perfect for morning, noon or night & will make for a nice boost during our 12-hour coach journey or whilst on the slopes.

In other news, Heskeys Tekkers had a small but triumphant victory of our own, drawing 1-1 to Woolpack FC; a team that beat us 7-0 only a month or so back. It's our first draw of the season & our closest & most hard-fought for game yet. With a depleted team, requiring us to draw on a number of new recruits, the whole team worked tirelessly throughout, & although it was a rather heated match at times, barging, hacking (them) & shouting (quite remarkably) featuring prominently, we feel hugely proud of our performance. This moves us to 3 points for the season & one point further away from the foot of the league. Success! Also, I just have to share it with you too, a first ever for me & so I am extremely proud - I was made man of the match! I know not life-changing, but it's nice to have your efforts recognised every now & then. Double success!
