Happiness is...
.... steering a pack of husky's on a sledge.
Bit of a lie in this morning and needed after the drinking last night. A few of us had slightly dusty heads this morning.
Managed to sort out a few photos after breakfast before we headed over to go on a husky safari.Had a talk about the dogs and how to steer the sledge before having a go. By the time we managed to get Flip Top sorted the only available sledge was the first one. Turned out to be a good thing. I started off steering. Surprisingly easy, just like riding a bike, you just need to lean into the corners. Also need to get off and help the dogs up the hill.
Worst part was the dogs pooing as they are running. Seems that they wait till they are running before having a poo or wee. Not so romantic when you are trying to figure out what colour snow is being flicked up in your face.
Swapped over at half time for J to have a drive. She had great fun as you can tell. Picture of happiness.
Towards the end of the ride the American woman came off the sledge behind, leaving the very anyone French woman demanding that she slowed down completely oblivious to the fact no one was steering. The dogs just about managed to stop by the time the came level with our sledge.
After it was a walk around the fragrent kennels to see some puppies and then a cup of coffee before heading home.
Had a sleep in the afternoon and while J went to the spa I headed out onto the lake to take some photos of the moon.
After dinner we headed out to see if we could see the aurora.
This might have to be my entry for this weeks theme of HAPPY
