Another day, another journey...

....a different route!

A continuation of the commute theme, I decided to take a detour on my way to work, and walked across the Golden Jubilee Bridges.

The construction of these new footbridges in 2002 was in honour of the 50th anniversary of the Queens' accession to the throne. They had many challenges such as, unexplored WW2 bombs, avoiding London Underground Tube tunnels etc.

The design by architects Lifschtz Davidson won the 2003 'Building of the year' award at Royal Fine Art Commission.

Anyway it was a beautiful morning, no song today, just enjoyed the views.....
