Tree in a lane

This is the same lane I blipped a few weeks ago but I ventured up it a short way to capture the tree which can be seen at a distance in the first one I took.

My son tells me that the rumour abounds that a long time ago this tree was the place where occasional hangings took place. I have searched the local histories but cannot find verification of it, but it makes a fascinating story.

Off to Hull this afternoon but not back until late so decided not to wait to blip later. Tomorrow Collections day again!
