Cotton thistle
Or more commonly known as the National Emblem of Scotland. I spied this 'plant' whilst out on a brisk walk near my home this afternoon.
Like many good old Scottish things and people it seems to survive the battle of the good old Scottish elements we put up with all year round. The wind was fairly playing with this one lone thistle hiding in the undergrowth so I'm quite pleased that I managed to capture it dancing away!
