92 and a half!
It's funny how the very young and the very old can be quite particular about their ages. Here is my Mum at 92 and a half. It was her half-birthday last week, although I missed it completely.
I mentioned the other day that she has 3 new pieces of work in the new exhibition by members of Hexham Embroiderers' Guild. It celebrates the 20th anniversary of the guild in Hexham and is on show at the Queens Hall.
Mum is the oldest member of this Guild, as she is at Sunderland, where she is also a member.
The standard of work overall is very high and there is a great range of ideas displayed. This one is Kielder at night with the stars shining brightly. You might see Orion and the North Star in there. Hundreds of tiny beads and silver stitches went into the piece.
I've been to Haltwhistle this morning to catch up on M and B who were delayed in Turkey due to a lost passport. They seem fine.
