Amaryllis

This came as a Christmas Gift from a friend who comes and stays with us occasionally. I planted it on that day and we have had a few weeks of pleasure from the beautiful red flowers.
I have never managed to keep one of these after flowering, but I have noticed some people on Blip do have success. So any advice is welcome.
