Jane

Today we said goodbye to Jane. She passed away after a lengthy battle of wills with cancer.

I met Jane when I first started working down in Brighton 28 years ago. We were both fresh out of Uni and struggling with the notion that "this is it, we are now grown ups”. Although I stayed in Brighton, Jane travelled the world, loved, lost, loved again and achieved much more in her 49 years than most do in a lifetime.

The service was wonderful and it was a testament to Jane’s personality and character that the chapel was full to overflowing with friends,and family. She leaves a husband, Mark, and 10 year old twins, Matthew and Amy.

It’s fitting that as I write this post the Ramones “Sheena is a punk rocker” is playing on the radio. I'll remember Jane in many ways, dancing to a good old bit of punk with a beer in her hand is one of them.
