The Sun Refused to Shine
I see that in his excellent journal What I've Done, John Gravett is complaining about the endless blue skies he seems to be encountering everywhere. Well stick with us John and you may never be plagued by this problem again.
The First Law of Gravett-y states that 'There's no such thing as bad weather, only different types of light' well luckily we've had quite a lot of different light recently.
We managed to escape the clear skies by going up to the Lake District last week, when it was blanketed in cloud, then as the cloud moved south, so did we. Et voila! Not a blue sky in sight. We went off to Batsford Arboretum today in search of sunny photo opportunities and heard on the radio that Gloucestershire might have fog all day.
LooseCanon made the most of this very different light just as it was clearing. I managed to find a bumble bee in a brief sunny interval, and just as I did it turned its back on me.
So here is a bumble bee sunning its bum in the sun.
