Refurbished conservatory at Wentworth Castle

Today another full, interesting day at Northern College. We have lots of writing about people we find inspiring, who, why. Read lots of examples followed by interesting debates. We looked at authors who describe characters well. We looked round a display of paintings, then chose one or two that inspire us to write about

We looked at and discussed writing about using all our senses. Ending with smell which we discussed and guess what our homework is : pick a smell that evoke s memories.. we also looked how we bring food and mealtimes into our writing

I am delighted I came on the course, enjoying it, laughing a lot, learning a lot and of course writing a lot. it is also so good to work alongside a diverse range of writers
beginners and experienced.

It is just so good to have the time energy and space to think, write and share. The comfortable rooms and good catering is of course.
